Momentum – Education360

On the 18th July, children across the world joined the 1,000,000 Footprints to save Africa campaign by placing their footprints and names on sheets of fabric. The children participated in a united symbolic walk across the African continent – a peaceful protest against the continued exploitation and destruction of Africa’s wildlife and natural resources.

The 1,000,000 Footprints team started their journey by placing their first footprints at the Education 360 67 minutes for Mandela day event.

Staff and children joined in the fun as they all placed their shoe prints on the denim cloth which will be used to make pencil boxes and filled with stationary collected by Writestart, an organization founded by Charl van der Merwe (19) and his sister Ella.

Momentum staff will also be helping with a shoe drive as we collect shoes for the school kids we will visit in the next few months.
