Global March for Elephants, Rhinos and Lions October 2016

 

On the 24th September 2016, we joined 144 cities across the world for the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos.

The march coincided with the opening of CITES COP17 in Sandton, Johannesburg. On this historical Heritage day the youth took to the streets to be a voice for their Wildlife Heritage as they demanded APPENDIX I listing and NO TRADE for all elephants, rhinos and lions. They marched in memory of the countless rangers who have lost their lives in the fight against poaching, the record number of elephants and rhinos killed by poachers and the thousands of lions bred for canned-hunting.
