SAMCA NATIONALS

July 2, 2016 @ 10:00 am - July 9, 2016 @ 6:00 pm

SAMCA (South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association) is the SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) recognised Federation for Majorettes and Cheerleading, in South Africa.

The SAMCA Nationals 2016 will be held in Gauteng at the Germiston Stadium from the 02 July to the 9th July 2016.

1,000,000 Footprints to save Africa will move closer to their aim to educate and grow awareness for the plight of our rhino in SA. At the SAMCA Nationals 2016, 1,000,000 Footprints will roll out the program to 120 Majorette Squads from all nine provinces in South Africa. This event being held in Germiston, Gauteng from the 2nd to the 9th July 2016, will see all competitors and spectators placing their footprints down in a united stand against the cruel and unmitigated slaughter of a piece of our heritage – our rhino.

The highlight of the week will be an address by 1,000,000 Footprints Youth Leader, Monique Theron, facing dignitaries and spectators to deliver an appeal to stand together in a united stand against this heinous crime.

450 drum majorettes will march in their 1,000,000 Footprints to save Africa t-shirts and a mass shout out “Save our rhinos” will be heard across the world as media record this cry from the youth of SA.

Footprint banners will fly high around the stadium as the footprints grow. We ask all who attend to visit our Footprint stands to make their mark.
